I bolted "Seeds we sow" in 2012 at Kingskloof. Climbed it this weekend and somebody removed the chains from both belay stations.
Not on. I had to do the walkdown in tight climbing shoes.
This is the only easy 2 pitch sport route in Gauteng at around grade 13.
So;
1.) The chains was rusted? You decided it is unsafe and will replace it and did not post this fact on climb.co.za? Please answer? Or I missed the post?
2.) You're a beginner and made a mistake? Please answer?
3.) You're an ass and stole the gear or vandalized the route? I hope somebody knows you, we can get some pictures,
and I'll post it here. Instant mob justice will do just fine.
4.) You're not a climber and soloed the route? I would like to High Five you.
I did not replace the chains.
The route is still climbable. Just walk down to the left. I use hangers, maillons and chains for anchors, so the hangers is still there.
Anybody with info please post.

Re: Kingskloof: Gear removed from climb
Hi Johan
I have had to replace a number of the anchors at Kings. Only those which you can get to easily. I suspect it is only naughty kids. Planning on gluing them closed to prevent this in the future.
