ontheedge - frustrating!
Is anyone else struggling to make sense of the on-the-edge site?
Just spent 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back trying to use that site.

If you're trying to find the gear that's on sale, go to the marketplace... it's in the dropdown menu "gear sales"
but yes, not the most refined site...

my life is slipping away - I hope they stick up a 'that's it folks' post at the end so we know we can go back to our normal lives
Not sure this was the best choice ram (for us anyway) - at least fighting the hordes at the warehouse was good exercise

The site really does suck- but if its so much trouble just viewing what you want to order, how do you expect me to buy it?
Re: ontheedge - frustrating!
I have only one problem. I can't seem to send an email to order something. When I click on submit it just keeps on loading. Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: ontheedge - frustrating!
Yeah, it's cool that it is online, but OTE is frustrating......I gave up after a few pages. Maybe post a full list here (PDF, Excel) instead of using OTE.

Is someone from On The Edge reading this forum?
Please post an email address or something on this forum so we can just email you guys.
I have tried sending Simon a message on the site, but I haven't received a reply. There's also no Contact Us page, which is strange

Re: ontheedge - frustrating!
I've given up trying.
I can see some items in the market at the bottom of the home page but as soon as I click on anyone of them the followup page as an empty "market place" component with only a search box but no items.

Re: ontheedge - frustrating!
the online sale was a great idea, finally i got a chance to get stuff too without driving 1500km there, plus 1500km back (which makes it expensive).
The site however did not live up to my expectations.
Was I too late, or was less offered than i expected, or was all products not posted, or did I not find all products that were posted??
I gave up without buying - too difficult to navigate, and the product descriptions were super criptic.
Has anyone successfully purchased anything online? Please tell

Re: ontheedge - frustrating!
Perhaps On the Edge should contact Gorilla to design their website

Re: ontheedge - frustrating!
Yup, I did eventually.
Seems that if you can: find the marketplace; get it to load; find the item; send the email before it disappears = it does actually work.
Agree- theoretically good idea, practically not so much. Not unhappy though, seeing as it did work in the end.

Hello all frustrated Sale supporters
We're sorry to hear that the Market Place platform is not working for many of you.
The platform is actually a bit of freeware - so no quick fixes there !
We did have some additional issues early yesterday as we tried to load stuff - and the site was obviously being visited by many of you at the same time. Things have calmed down now - so hopefully it will be more stable.
We have actually had quite a few sales yesterday - so some folk have found a way.
However - in order to share opportunities to buy more fully - here are two altenative ways to buy :
1. down load the attached .PDF and select your kit (refer to rammountain.co.za for more detailed product information)
once you know what you want - send me an email on : info@rammountain.co.za
we'll send you a sales order on which to pay.
2. come on down to the warehouse and browse the boxes. However - THERE ARE NO CREDIT CARD FACILITIES - BRING CASH OF DO AN EFT AT THE WAREHOUSE. We are at unit 14, Old Mill Park, 22 Old Mill Way, Ndabeni. We will welcome visitors until Friday
hope this all helps - looking forward to seeing some of you.
