The last of the Olympic qualifying competitions are now the Continental Championships being held around the world. One male and one female athlete from each continental region will qualify. The African Continental Championship will take place at CityROCK in Cape Town from the 19th to 22nd March.
The selections for the SA athletes taking part has already been completed at a competition in Gauteng on 25th January. Depending on the number of athletes entering from other countries in Africa there may be additional entries allowed from SA. The SANCF selection committee will be in control of this process.
