Dave Graham started climbing at age 15 and climbed The Present (5.14a) less than one year later

Chris Sharma started climbing at age 12 and at 14 won the U.S. Nationals (Mens Open). At 15 he opened Necessary Evil (5.14c) and placed second in the World Cup.

Daniel Woods climbed Livin Astro (5.14c) at age 16 (started at age 5)

Chris Lindner climbed 5.12a at age 6, 5.14a at age 14 and 5.14c at age 16 (started at age 3)

David Lama, son of a sherpa, climbed two 5.14c's at age 14

Matt Fultz opened Gothic Yellow (5.14) at age 13

Inspirational or depressing?
Genetics seem to overwhelm training when it comes to harder climbing... I know JusH once wanted to be the strongest climber in the world and I'm sure many young crankers have the same hidden ambition - but is there a point to this type of ambition if one is not born a mutant?

Furthermore Beware!: The mutants are breeding...! Many of the world's strongest climbers are dating/married. Their kids will crush yours!
