Ah, Celestial Journey. Classic route. Very cool pic. It just begs the question of how it was taken. I mean, how does one get a photo of yourself from that angle and distance? Did he perhaps set the timer and then hurl the camera into space? impressive. :D

Its simply a matter of occupying two spaces in the universe at the same time. easily done when you really think about it.

Sorry to start the conservation angle - but isnt that an excess use of orange chalk?

Maybe they used a paraglider that jumped out of a Cessna and then used a Canon EOS20D camera that was attached to a rope that runs through the belay of another person at the bottom of the crag to keep him in towards the face . Some real mean long rope...or did they already invented a boltgun ? It could also be taken by Google...

the original point of the posting, which i think some of you are missing, is that the photo is of micky climbing, taken by micky himself.

No no its not taken by Micky himself but by the Micky Wiswedel collection. Whilst it is perfectly theoretically possible to occupy two points in space simultaneously, the credit seems to indicate that there are several Mickys in existence simultaneously, which really would be impressive!
My theory is that the orange splodge was sprayed onto the rock by the Micky climbing when he looked up and realised what he'd gotten himself into. I wonder if he's also belaying himself? Now that would be a handy trick to learn!
