Stuck Hex at start of Frasers Variation first pitch

Did you forget you favourite boots at the crag? Or, did you find some quickdraw on the 4th bolt of some route?

Stuck Hex at start of Frasers Variation first pitch

Post by JacovV » Thu Dec 21, 2017 2:43 pm

Hi Klimvrinne

I made a stance placement with my favorite old Hex at the beginning of the first pitch of Frasers Variation this morning and it got stuck quite badly.

It would be a great favor if anybody who passes by might have a shot at getting it out.

You an contact me at 0845695905

Hoping to exchange a cold beer

All the best

Jaco

Thanks allot Emile - appreciate it

I'll contact you as soon as im back from holiday or try and get hold of a similar tool and remove it.

Ps. For other climbers: Its a Camp nr 9 Hexcentric hex on 8mm cord. The cord is visible, sticking out at waist height just left of the belay where one would normally lay down the ropes.

All the best

i suppose that's tongue-in-cheek Brent, but as a general comment: i think you're a world class prick if you use someone's request to help retrieve gear to go and help yourself to it. karma bitches, karma.

Jaco, we saw your hex as we started up yesterday. But maybe more importantly - we saw a pair of Mad Rock shoes on the walk-off ledge at the top of the route. They are reddish-brown and a big size. Maybe yours...and you can get two items for the price of one outing?? We left the shoes where they were.

Hi Hilton

Thanks for the heads up.

Regarding my Hex: The remarkably helpful Brian Watts retrieved my Hex for me yesterday - so ive got my fav old piece back again.

Regarding the Mad Rock shoes: Those are not mine. I did not see them there on Thursday so must have been climbers after us.

I hope the owner gets located by this thread
