Guide Book for Table Mountain?

Postby Steve R » Sat Sep 30, 2006 5:18 pm

Just arrived in Cape Town and wondering where I can buy a guide book. Or is there a decent one online? What's the best one to go for, is there one that covers more of the western cape? Am staying in the centre of CT at the moment, are there any crags other than table mountain within walking distance? Think that's about all the questions for now. Where's a good place to meet climbers? Havn't met any yet!? but loads of travellers/tourists. cheers all,

Table Mountain Trad: I'll be at the lower butress on sunday, send a shout if you feel like joining up with us.

Western Cape Sport:

Fellow Climbers: Probably City Rock Climbing Gym, or hang around some sport crag like Silvermine during weekends. Most climbers are an approachable bunch.
