1KN = 101.9716213KG - so call it 100kg - feeling more confident

Hi

It equates to roughly 100kg hanging statically. Remember that 100kg generates a lot more force if it falls onto the rope or carabiner etc. The amount of force generated is proportional to the deceleration of the 100kg mass.
