Spitzkoppe: Co-ords pleeeeeze!

Postby gregr » Mon Sep 11, 2006 4:16 pm

Somebody PLEEEEEEEEZE give me the lat and long for Spitzkoppe. I've got blisters from trying to search the net for them!

Also, none of these freakin map websites have co-ords on them. What a waste! If you know any decent map sites, pls let me know.

Shot dudes!!!

Greg,

You will see it in Google Earth no problem and get coords in Long Lat. Its about 150 km NE of Swakopmund.

As per Google Earth (any excuse not to work) they are 21`49'16\" S ; 15`09'55\" E.
I can't figure out how to type the degree circle so i used ` instead.

I wish I was there instead of my current longitude and latitude which places me at work.
Cheers.

How does a GPS co-ordinate help with the planning of a trip? You can see Spitzkop from about 100km or more. Its on the road between Windhoek & Swakopmund.

I agree.
Its really easy to find it at night in a strange country and you've taken a wrong turn somewhere.
Just keep on the road and when you go over a really big bump (700m high) you've found it!
GPS co-ordinates are silly and should be banned.
