Bouldering area for a beginner climber in Cape Town area

Postby carlonasisse » Sat Jun 07, 2014 2:42 am

Hello,

I will be spending some time in Cape Town from June till the end of July. A friend who is totally new to climbing wants me to take him bouldering. Any advice on an area easily accessible/ close to Cape Town where someone new to climbing could have a good time?

Thanks,
Carlo

Brazil, just opposite Silvermine. Entrance to the park on the left after Silvermine main gate.

Coppermine (part of Redhill) is great for beginners.

Coppermine is very good for beginners and Stonehurst on the beginning of Boyes Drive (Lakeside side)...PM me with your email address if you want topos...Bright Lights on Table Mountain is also good but is a lot smaller than the other two areas..
