I went up Kloof Corner ridge today, and encountered a very large beehive, directly on the trail.
If one is on the contour path, the first chain up leads you to directly underneath an electricity pylon. From here the path goes about 30 metres to the left, and there is a short scramble which ends directly underneath another electricity pylon. The beehive is in a hollowish rock at the top of this second scramble, at the base of the second electricity pylon up from the contour path.
I would suggest scrambling up 50 metres or so to the right then rejoining the path!
