Gear found on Cool Cat TM.

Did you forget you favourite boots at the crag? Or, did you find some quickdraw on the 4th bolt of some route?

Hi Danie
That's my gold Camalot. It was in the rail where my left foot is in this photo that Karl Hayden took.
Guy and I left it there and thought we'd get back to it before anyone else would get there. As it turns out I have just had two days on Klein Winterhoek that put my plans back a bit. Do you have it, and can I get it from you?
Did you onsight CC?
Thanks a lot,
bests

Brandon you probably wouldn't notice the difference!!

Congrats on the flash Danie. A few years ago I pointed the hard climbing Brit John Arran onto Cool Cat. He took quite a bit of time figuring out the crux sequence on the wall but he onsighted it with supreme grace. I struggle with grades (I mean if you climb old AdK routes and new Snorty routes how could you not!), but John was crisp with his British grade E5 6b. I thought that was a useful local yardstick. Interestingly, he couldn't get through the first pitch of Tour de Force and he was onsighting 8a. That's got to be something for you to try. (Guy and I easily did the top pitch of Tour de Force last week, with Guy getting his onsight of it.)

Guy P-J and I have to do our first continuous ascent of our 4-pitch new route that has Cool Cat as the first pitch and Scaredy Cat as the third pitch. (I've previously told Jimbo about it). Unfortunately Guy and I have Klein Winterhoek again this weekend and I find those little outings set me back about 7 to 10 days. (When this photo on Cool Cat was taken I didn't pull it off. Ran out of krag at the end because of North by Northwest a few days earlier with Dave Vallet. Anyway, I hope there aren't any Pretoria climbers in town until Guy and I finish our continuous FA.
