Good to see all the hard work is being acknowledged.

However I was disgusted to see that now when entering Badkloof climbers pay more than hikers. I understand that it is only a few Rand more but that is crazy since a great deal of the maintenance is done by climbers.

How was the pricing structured?

Bad Kloof:
Where to start... I have no knowledge about the pricing structure. If there is anyone who would like to tackle this matter please get in touch with me and I'll give you the info required to start an investigation.

The inflated price structure may have something to do with the fact that the municipality installed a 'Rock Climbing' sign (below).
Please be careful of this sign as it is very sharp!!

R18 for climbers and R10 for hikers to access Badkloof. my guess it it will have the same effect as TMNPs silly permit system: all climbers are now going for a hike with their climbing gear..... :?
