Casualties of war. Paarl rock

Postby mjqn88 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 12:03 pm

Howzit guys

I recently did a few routes on paarl rock.
Saw a photo of casualties of war and instantly felt the need to do it.
I was told yesterday that apparently the crux hold on the 23pitch was broken off.
does anyone know if this is true? Are the bolts still in good nick?
Will it be possible to climb it without that hold?
Super keen to give it a burn its such a beautiful line!!!!!!!

Casualties has always had a boulder start but it got harder after part of the critical foothold broke off in '09. I repeated it soon after and thought the start was a tricky Fb6c+ boulder to the jug from where it is the same as before... hard to grade but maybe around 7a+/25...
