tradathon 2012
Re: tradathon 2012
Matthew Davidson is the man to be jealous of: he won the rack. Congrats!
thank you to everyone that attended, there will be more tradathons, we just are debating where, when and how often.

Hey Guys,
CLimb.co.za is a great forum to get things going. Just conjure up a plan, find a venue, work out some basic access, accommodation and transport logistic, make a date and suck up to the decision makers in the MCSA or become one yourself. And Valois! You have a cool event.

We'll in that light, the MCSA Magaliesberg section has scheduled a Trad Rally in the kloofs for 12-13 May. It is listed that Derie van Eeden is organising it. I'm not sure if he will be back from China by then, but I will find out and report back.
Should be lots of fun

@ SNORT
Yea, the forum is great. How was the turn out at the SCORN Comittee? Really bummed I could not make it, would have been fun.

I found a piece of kit in the gear-tree at the bottom of Jacobs Ladder.
Name it and it's markings and I'll swop it for beer at the next MCSA climber's social...

Re: tradathon 2012
The scorn committee was very successful as always. Considerable amount of whisky and wine, beer, boerewors and steak was consumed. Kathy brought up the female side of things. We were all brutally honest and mostly rude and scornful. There were a few politically correct participants that need a bit of work. I don't think they drank enough alcohol to open to skeleton cupboard properly. But no one cried, no one said sorry, and no one was assaulted.

Re: tradathon 2012
Actually, we've decided to make it in the Magaliesberg next year. That way - it's close to the next biggest climbing community in the country. The hope is that it'll entice the Capees who have never experienced the joys that the kloofs have to offer, to cross the Orange and discover. Assuming that 2013 is also a huge success, we should then have enough folk psyched to go & invade KZN in 2014 !Quote:
