Climbing permits

Postby Tian » Tue Mar 07, 2006 7:01 pm

What's the current tariff of climbing permits for Cederberg, Rocklands, Hellfire, Du toits kloof ect. I haven't been in ZA for a year and will be back in April for a 22 day climbing road trip. Will a Wild Card get you free entry/ permits for these areas or not ? How much does places like Tuitjies Kraal and Wolfberg cost to climb ?

Cheers

Climbing at Wolfberg costs R20 per day (wild card not applicable there) - TuitjiesKraal is also about R20 (Wild card is applicable there)

Check out http://www.sanparks.org/tourism/wild for more info and a list of where the card is applicable.
In my experience the Wild Card will save you money even if you just using it for your road trip.

Hellfire is R24 a day, book for 'the Hellfire Trail', Limietberg Reserve, at Cape Nature's booking office.
