Trad meltdown

Postby Rastaman » Thu Mar 02, 2006 9:03 am

I propose that all Trad climbers report to their nearest climbing store to hand in all their trad gear.
This gear will then be melted down and turned into nice shiny bolts.
These bolts can be used to bolt areas like table mountain and elsies peak.
Anyone found trad climbing will be forced to place these bolts.

Viva le bolt, viva!! :D

Hahahaha!!! classic! But first...(Ominous suspense music in background)... we need to bolt plastic holds all over the cooling towers in athlone (cape town) to prepare us 5 minute walk-in, powerade drinking, energy bar eating sport climbers for the rigors of trad routes. Maybe then we'll be able to red-point the walk-in...MAYBE!!

Next time I'm at Legoland, I'm gonna try and climb everything with natural pro...oh, and a helmet. Obviously!

One slight flaw in the plan...most bolters have a rack & most sport climbers don't bolt. Maybe it's just because sport climbers are lazy f...kers.

Thanks for the love guys.
It's good to know that their are some passionate trad climbers out there.
Seems strange that trad climbers bolt sport routes and then go tradding?
What it means to me is that sport needs trad and trad needs sport.
