Lukas in Cape Town

Postby Warren G » Tue Mar 15, 2011 2:53 pm

http://vimeo.com/19302225

The slackliner in this video is arriving in Cape Town this weekend, doing some highlines and slackline sessions. As you can see from the video he is a world class slackliner: exceptional at tricks, longlines and highlines (he did over 50 highlines in 2010). We are want to invite all local slackers to join him for a session in the first half of next week, but will settle on when and where nearer to it depending on weather.

Anyone in Cape Town who takes slacklining even half seriously could learn a great deal from him. Lukas is here for the Cape Epic as he is sponsored by Adidas and Slackline-Tools. Sorry for sending you to another site to see the video, but it is on Vimeo, not youtube.

ok it will be wednesday afternoon/ evening. we have a few things running that day, but it most likely will happen at De Wall Park, from around 4pm

Over the weekend i will have more info.

this is the oppotiunatey i have been waiting for the longest as a slackliner, i think if anyone is reading this, slacklines, and lives in cape town to avoid this would be daft. also just to watch a guy like this: today he did a 53m highline over a river in Germany for a TV Advert, having spent the last 2 weeks in the mountains highlining. he is a monster of a slacker compared to anyone in this country.

So what happened? We were there - a cancellation message would have been nice.

Hey Guys

Sorry for that, the weather sucked yesterday, so we are going to try next week, hopefully tuesday.

Not to rub these things in, but he is bloody good. on Saturday he is doing a show on the Waterfront stage, a trick line and i highline to the top of the ampitheatre. there are posters around town for it, but it is part of the Cape Epic.

can't remember if i said this above, but he was brought out here by Adidas and Slackline-Tools for the Cape Epic, hopefully the video they are making for his trip will be shown at the Epic final or something.
