Hi
Seems the RD's I've ordered are not going to arrive before we leave on our trip. So any route descriptions, directions, to any climbing areas/climbing shops around Dubrovnik/Split would be much appreciated. We are escpecially keen on the longer stuff at Paklenica, like Anica kuk. I've got one of two vague topos of the stuff around Paklenica, but nothing substantial.

Thanks
Ian

Hi Justin
I got some info of UKClimbing.com. I checked the climbing logs of people that have been there and got some beta of them. A lot of the good stuff is around Paklenica.
Check this:
http://www.climb-europe.com/RockClimbingCroatia.html
Best time is from end of April to September. I never did get my RD's suspect they disappeared into the local post service. I ended up not climbing at all we were based far in the south and there is not much there in terms of climbing and the good stuff was about 4 hours of driving away. Apparently it can get quite crowded in summer with tourists In terms of cost: Cheapest flights were over Frankfurt, ended up with super long layovers. (10 hours). Out of season it was well priced for Europe. Prices can be compared to Cape Town in December or a little more. Apparently it is quite easy to pick up partners at Paklenica. \

cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the info & link. We're in Austria right now, heading down to the South of the France and probably Spain too (if we don't get stuck in France 8)

During our last week we're very likely going Rovinj in Croatia with friends. It is listed as having 98 routes.
Partner is with me and the whole of Europe is on holiday, so we'll just make up part of the crowds!

Long layovers suck!! We just flew Turkish airlines and I was devistated when I saw that we didn't each have a little screen in front of us :|
On the upside, we only had an hour layover.

Hi

I happen to have a route guide but the file seems to be too big... Maximum size allowed is 256kb. The guide is 1.5Mb.
