Eish, sorry for you!

I've heard of some single pitch climbing going down in Botswana, maybe check that out for weekend trips. There's also Spitzkoppe.

Best advice, buy a hangboard before moving. How long will you be in vertical purgatory for??

There is a fellow bolting some where near Upington and he is in touch with a climber in Posmasberg. Can put you in contact.

I've heard that there might be some climbing at Augrabies which isnt too far away. In this country I dont think there's ever really the problem of no rock - its just trying to find people who are willing to go out and explore a bit. Buy a rack

Are you also known as the H-Bomb?Remember, no matter where you are, Rocklands is never too far away for a weekend trip!

Yesh... so the hard core \"hikers\" know what they are in for:

So long as you walk your contacts (14/6 no bolts, just boots) you should be ok. Although be warned, all cross strike routes increase the grading exponentially (up to at least 33/8b+) and you will no doubt find yourself at a loss in BIG SYNCLINE EAST....
