What a Jol,
Thanks everyone for one of the best experiences of my life. I'll definitely be coming up next year. Uber inspired to try climb harder next year.
The 16 hour driver there and 18 hour drive back to CT were totally worth it. Next year I'm flying to Nelspruit and saving my legs from car cramp.
Gus, I'm working on a score processing system for next year - I'll send it to you when I'm done. Good luck for the surgery.
Ernesto
I don't think, therefore I'm Not

Yeah, it was an awesome experience - definately want to come up next year again...Thanks Gustav and all who put the event together; it was incredibly well run, and huge amounts of fun! Hopefully by next year someone will have come up with quick and easy forearm transplants, because mine were already shot by the end of Friday
Ernesto, I still think you guys deserve great kudos for driving all that way in an Opel Corsa Light - and still managing to squeeze all my additional gear (read: one bloody big rucksack) in when I met you guys at JHB airport :-)

I just woke up a while ago after getting pins&plates in the one foot and screws in the other. Snort referred me to a Jhb based orthopedic surgeon. Hope he did a good job!
It was pretty interesting organising the Roc Rally from the wheelchair.

Many of our friends asked, so go look on
http://www.rocrope.com/xray.html to see what they have done to me!
The good thing is that I will have a full recovery and soon to be back on my feet as if nothing happened (maybe slightly more careful on those approaches!

).

How did you manage to get AdK to perform the operation?
I thought he was a wood surgeon

Open hand, open mind...

A very Big Thank you to Gustav, Alex and Jan for an awesome event!
Also to Tristan for the Drytooling wall and Warren for the slacklining.
Big Up to everyone who made it possible and to everyone who attended.
I will be putting in my leave for next year for the Rally and a few days on either side.
If you weren't there this year, Make a Plan for next year, it is money very well spent, the climbing alone is worth it, not to mention the party.
Jacques, thanks for being an awesome travelling partner, Creedence Clearwater will never sound the same again!

An to top it off, some Germans decided to add some extra spice and continued past Chocolate Eclair and opeened a new line:
373.9b) DEATH BY CHOCOLATE 31 *** (12D) Climb Choc Eclair then continue over the roof and up the headwall. Some very satisfying and crimptastic moves. FA: Daniel Gebel , September 2009.
Well done guys!

This event seems to be going from strength to strength, attended the 2004 one with a bunch from Urban Crag, the old climbing centre we had in Jet Park.
Even won an award for the least number of climbs
