notice the pictures of michael baleta (referred to as "mad mike" in the slideshow), also seen on this website bouldering the truck (next to the climbza logo)...

Awesome photos of mike, hardcore stuff.
Re: Dungeons Delivers best Paddle Session in over half a Decade
Is this Micheal "Mad Mike" Baleta some kind of crazy person?Surfing giant waves paddle-in style and bouldering ,moving 16-wheelers on highways seems to be this oke's daily norm.I am compelled to suggest that this daredevil mentality, often accompanied by a significant chunk of irresponsibility, should not be romanticised nor idealised, for reckless endangerment should never gain any popularity in general climbing ethos.

I dont believe "reckless endangerment" will ever become main stream, it takes a touched kind of person to push things that far to the edge and most of us dont want to go there. But I think its great that those people are out there, its awesome to see the potential of human beings (If it wasnt for Evil Knievel we wouldnt have x-treme motorcross
). Secondly, most of the nutters who do this sort of thing seem to survive their exploits so I think they must be doing something right.

Nutters...? Relative theory. The guy next to me in my office thinks I'm a nut for rock climbing. I think Stuart (guy on the wave) is a nut. Stuart probably thinks base-jumpers are nuts......and we all think the guy next to me in the office is a nut!

Re: Dungeons Delivers best Paddle Session in over half a Decade
Mmm... Mike has nuts, big ones! (Like the nuts theory, right on target)
