aweh
Apparently there are some nice climbing routes on a farm in the wilderness area (western cape).
Problem is u need to ask private owners for permission to use their premisis. Does anyone know who to contact to do this?

You will need to contact the local MCSA.
http://scp.mcsa.org.za/
...I think it is the South Cape Section.
else try the Eastern Cape Section

I went through the same process recently.... apparently some bolters managed to mess access up for the whole climbing community.

Hann- not sure where you got your info from. no one messed up the access by bolting. all bolting was done through MCSA with the managers permission, as well as through Keith James who opened the routes.
access is obtained through Rob Stewardson 082 462 1451. it is subject to the owner not being on the farm and requires a MCSA member to be in the party. you need to get a permit and have everything sorted by the friday if you want to climb on the weekend.
give Rob a call he will know if owner is around or not.

My mistake then.
Apologies for being misleading concerning the bolting & closure.
