Canada to Joburg, looking for a good camping store!

does anyone know the best place to get camping gear, specificly Propane/Isobutane canisters??? and about how much they go for

similar or the same to the one found here:

I dont think they'll let copressed Propane/Isobutane canisters on the plane =]

also does anyone know of any good southafrican hiking trail websites or any good 2-3 day hikes in the drakensburg.

Hey -

I am actually canadian as well. As for the butane canisters, the best you can really do is drifters in sandton mall. Cape town also has a good mountaineering store but i am sure you can get butane or isobutane canisters from drifters. Gear like integral designs or primus, I dont think you will be able to get here.
As for the hiking, go to cathedral peak. There are a bunch of good trails around there. Cathedral peak is a beautiful hike and it is 9 hrs return, and you coiuld just hit up the mountains around there for 2 or 3 days. Anyway, hope this helps you.
