@Andrew: Finally a repeat! Someone once described it as the 'hardest route in Boven'. Congrats!
A question: On the 1st picture posted, you're wearing what looks like either a kneepad or some strapping for a sore knee. Is it a pad? Is there a hidden kneescum made possible with the pad (if it is one)?
Pedley on Lab Rat
Re: Pedley on Lab Rat
Hi, I just got back, I see Gus has been busy posting the pics, cool shots. That is a knee pad, made from an old car inner tube I think. It makes the shake at half height about 10% better by scumming against the wall. Nosmo, have you been on the route, I have some cool beta, especially for the lower wall. I think Gus may post a pic of the dyno at the top which is so cool to stick.

Hey Andrew,
No ways, not even close to being on the route. Just recognised the black rubber, tried it on a route where it makes the crux move (pulling past a knee scum on a rather sharp corner) seem slightly easier (or maybe just less painful).
I think here it is rather a case of using the actual friction provided by the surface rubber instead of using it to save skin on my wussy leg.
Anyway, damn nice send! What's next? The line next to Godzilla?

Re: Pedley on Lab Rat
i don't know how hard the other long routes in boven are, but i certainly think lab rat is one of the hardest routes i've ever tried (there and in the cape). i thought the bottom section was totally desperate, and clinton tells me he graded it 33, not 32!
either way, nice send andrew!

Congratz Pedley. Another desparate looking one under the belt. Where to now? Maybe its time for another trip overseas...
