Lose bolt at Lakeside Pinnacle

Postby neadek » Wed Jan 30, 2008 10:27 am

The 16 Route Dogmatrix, Below the 18 Who knows, 2nd bolt is lose. I climbed the route on Sunday and all bolts where ok but when i returned on tuesday we found that the 2nd bolt was lose. If anyone knows who can be contacted to have the bolt checked out please let me know. All other bolts on both routes are ok.

Is the entire bolt swivelling around in it's gatjie? Or is the hanger / nut just loose?

Loose boulder at the top of undercling route

Postby Drifter » Wed Jan 30, 2008 1:22 pm

At the top of the climb called 'undercling route'(Lakeside Pinnacle) there is a loose boulder.I am just worried that one day someone who hasn't climbed this route before will grab this boulder when they get to the top, not realising it is loose and it will fall on top of them so I am just giving a warning about this.

I assume you mean the hanger / nut is just swivelling, and the bolt itself is secure. No major need for concern.

Be a big tjom, and take a spanner along the next time you go!

Don't over-tighten the bolt eh. just nip it tight.

It will be a size 17.
