Little Eden near Cullinan??
Hi
Has anyone heard about \"Little Eden\" near Cullinan?? Can anyone tell me more about how to get there etc.?

There are two places called \"Little Eden\" in that area...
The one is a home for disabled children (its not the Cullinan rehab centre). Somehow I don't think its the place you are talking about (unless they have a climbing wall for some reason
)
The other is a holiday resort or something (they don't allow day visitors), and it is closer to Bronkhorstspruit than Cullinan.
That's about as much as I know. . .

Little Eden directions
From Johannesburg International Airport take the R21 highway towards
Pretoria. Turn right on the R28/N4 towards Witbank. Travel for 30kms on
the N4 then take the Cullinan/Bapsfontein turn off. Turn left to Rayton
(R515). Proceed past Rayton for 10kms. Travel over the four way stop into
Kwamalanga Road for 12kms. The resort is on the left hand side.
Phone (012) 7320057
Let us know what it is like
Cheers

Just an update: (directions as per Baldrick is correct) I was there the weekend before last. I was utterly miffed by the reception at reception
- I tried to play a wannabe guest who would just like to see the layout of the place on foot, even leaving my car outside - no-go. Apparently the only way you may set your foot inside the gate is if you have a reservation ( + be a member of some timeshare scheme I think).
From the little I could see from the road and photos it looks like it has lots of potential. Having said that, I'm not keen on trying again as it's really the worst \"service\" I've ever encountered at any holiday resort. It's like having to buy a car from a magazine add - no test drive, not even allowed to sit in it, with a distinct impression that they don't really want you there.
Perhaps they have an over 60's dope smoking nudist cult going there?

Nope, I'm trying out using the real name to feel how it fits.nosmo wrote:OneDog, forgot your password?
Some posts on previous topics where comments along the line of "we're hitting each other over the head anonymously in the forums, yet smiling at each other not knowing it at the crags" got me thinking that I'd rather not be that anonymous.
I'm still full of shit, don't worry.

grotto
Not sure if the place is the same area as the “grotto” or Grotte. It sounds familiar. I checked the area out about 4 years ago. Ended up bribing (yes I know.. ) the gate guard to let me in 30 mins before closing time. Really super wall to the S-SW of the pool with good trad potential..
But as you said .. the reception from both owner, management and staff was not worth it!
Anybody got a microlight? I am thinking, if there is one crag.. there is more!
