... you probably mean you need a climbing partner to climb with ... as opposed to climb ... good luck in the search though ... i heard they were harder to find then, well \"relationship partners\"..

haha...overheard on a boulder yesterday:

\"I reckon it'll be easier/cheaper to train a lady of negotiable affection to climb - and pay her by the hour - than to try and find a climbing girlfriend\"

Oh come on Brolloks ... read Jean's first posting and tell me you can't see the humour ... .

... yes yes we all know that she is looking for a climbing partner ... can't speak for Babycoat but i aint available anyway ... i have a female climbing partner to climb ... i mean climb with ... whatever, you probably understand what i mean ...

Oxford Dictionary \"dodge\" n = clever, expedient also to baffle by artfulness

Can't speak for babycoat but I am certainly dodge ... thanks for the compliment .

.. seems like you and Jean should tie up (read and understand meet or climb together or exchange correspondence) having been baffled by our(read GBM and Babycoat's) artfulness ...

Well thanks guys. I thought this was a climbing website. You have turned this into a mud slinging grammer lesson. Thanks, I thought Cape Town climbers were nice.

Hey Jean....notice that most of the responses on this thread are from up-country! ;)

Cape climbers are nice..... 'specially our lovely ladies and wacky womyn! They're probably just too busy climbing to log on.

Unfortunately I work 9-5, and own a set of nuts.

G'luck!

... Oh Jean ... we really are nice ... thats why we want you to consider climbing with both our male and female climbers ... it wold be terrible for you to miss out on the wonderful experience of climbing both, oopss i mean climbing with both, ... when in lovely Cape Town ....

This Jean, in the spirit of the Cape, is for you ...

We are all androgynous, not only because we are all born of a woman impregnated by the seed of a man but because each of us, helplessly and forever, contains the other—male in female, female in male, white in black and black in white. We are a part of each other. Many of my countrymen appear to find this fact exceedingly inconvenient and even unfair, and so, very often, do I. But none of us can do anything about it.

Jean I would just ignore some of the comments on this thread.

Female climbers might want to climb with a female climber for safety reasons.

Hi Jean

Please do not judge us Cape Town climbers by these responses. Particularly since, as JonoJ says, many are responding are from outside Cape Town.

I understood your original post, and your reasons for asking…

I mostly trad climb, but would have happily helped you out… Unfortunately I am not available during the week.

A good way to hook up with other climbers here in Cape Town is to go to the local climbing gyms and/or the MCSA.

Good luck and happy climbing!

\"Female climbers might want to climb with a female climber for safety reasons.\" Drifter, What safety reasons would those be?

i hear there are a bunch of female climbers (in cape town) who like to climb with each other, Jean get in touch with Gosia, her details should be on the \"climb like a girl\" webpage.

i'd like to help out but unfortunately i boulder exclusively (for now).
i suppose the safety reasons may be that most female climbers don't tend do lose focus of their climber when belaying... i've heard many stories of being dropped by men, but then again that could just be because the proportion of climbers are men and hence the statistics on being dropped by men would favour so.

either way, forum's not the best place to look...
try CityROCK or the UCT wall?
