Bluewater ropes
What is the general consensus about bluewater ropes? Good?? Bad???
Ja, what Marshall said. These days a rope is a rope.
That being said...... I do like my Blue Water Dominator. It's a nice colour.
...... and is super light.... handles equally well on sport and trad... and has crunched and ground it's way up a good number of gritty routes with no noticeable sheath wear.
It are a very lovely rope.

I have a Bluewater now, not bad, but I liked the Edelrid I had before a bit more, I think it was less stiff than the Bluewater rope (maybe it's all in my head anyway).
All in all, no complaints, a nice rope, won't mind buying it the next time round.

Live fast, die young & leave a good looking corpse
a rope is a rope is a rope...
Not a Roca, I got a 9.7 in Spain, sure it keeps me from hitting the deck, but it wears easily, kinks like a bith and is very very stubborn in the grigri.
I'm mostly top roping routes [18's] at the moment, so I just take an old Beal 11mm 'Ice Ranger' with me when we go to Strubens. I'll try and upgrade to a Bluewater as soon as I can actually climb something

Silly games. I've been around since 2006, and what's wrong with toproping 16's anyway?
