Good News: At least Boreal still makes the Ace. (www.e-boreal.com)

Bad News: I haven't seen any in SA for quite a while. CapeStorm put a whole bunch of Boreal shoes on sale about 18 months ago - I thank that was the last stock in SA. (If you find any aces for sale in SA, give me a shout - I'm looking for UK 8.5's.)

Capestorm used to bring in Boreal.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no distributor for Boreal in SA.

Anyone have contact details for Boreal? I'd like to check them out while I'm in Spain next month.

you could try ebay, since you already know your size. they seem to come up there from time to time. i got a pair of Ballet II's there last year just for nostalgia for about 30 EUR

I am impressed PietSkiet, surely you got the Ballet's for the next MCSA barn dance and not for climbing in?

Try avoid buying the Boreal Lasers, the dye comes out and make your feet black.
If Hikers Paradise have still got, try the Boreal Zephyr which are similar to the Ace but with a bit less lining.
There are not many of the more rigid \"board-lasted\" shoes available on the market anymore so good luck finding what you want.

Don't buy Lazers cos they make your feet black? Wtf? Anywho, the Lazer is slip-lasted so it's a completely different shoe to the Ace or Zephyr. IMO the Lazer is a muuuuuuch better shoe than the Zephyr for sure!

I'll be meeting a Guy by the name of Jesus Frances (From Boreal) in Barcelona at the end of October.
Perhaps the lack of Boreal shoes in SA will be solved then.
