Booking is now open for the MCSA National Meet 2010 - Towerkop (Ladismith W/Cape)
In 1885 a young man called Gustaf Nefdt made history in becoming the first person to climb the "unclimbable" Towerkop, and probably without realizing it, he opened the first rock climbing route in SA.
In 1985 a centenary meet was held, and this year the MCSA celebrates the 125th Anniversary of Nefdt's remarkable feat by presenting the National Meet from 18 - 25 September 2010.
The MCSA welcomes all mountaineers to join us in Ladismith for a week of climbing, hiking and meeting up with old friends!
