Hi Daydreams,
What are you looking to climb in your new light-weight mountain boots?
I can recommend the Scarpa 'Triolet', as a light-weight mountaineering boot. It's great for things like the Hornli Ridge on the Matterhorn. Takes a back-clip crampon with front strap, light-weight and has a little flex. Definitely a summer (euro) alpine boot. The Sportiva Trango S Evo Gtx, is la Sportiva's equivalent, If that's a better fit for you? I heard it climbs really well, I prefer a little more leather.
Guess it depends on what you're after? I ran around mt.Kenya with a five ten Exum Guide, fiddled with the laces to make it comfy, A little more ridged than a normal approach shoe. It'll take a back and front strap crampon, which is fine if you’re not planning on front pointing or ten pointing for real!! Wore a pair of Kayland boots for a pretty snowy summit climb.
Hope that helps...
