Hi
My names Mark, I'm a recent graduate student from England here in SA to do some work exprience with local water and sanitation engineering firm in Kwazulu Natal. I'm also a keen climber, a bit out of shape but still a competant climber. I'm unsure of how the climbing grading works in SA but at home i generally climb comfortably in the 5a-c range (french grading -sport) however as I said I'm a little out of shape. I'm also used to climbing on trad.
I really want to get on some 'rock' and would welcome any suggestions on local areas to climb, good places to meet other climbers, etc etc. I have a sport rack with me, harness and shoes, but no one to tie to the other end of my rope?
email me mnoriordan@gmail.com if your interested in climbing with me. I'm currently living in Mseleni but I'm free most weekends, and have my own 2x4 (not 4x4 which is a shame) bukkie to get me places.
Also what are good places to buy general kit? guide books etc etc for the crags?
cheers
Mark
