Climbing partners

Postby 9.81m/s » Fri Apr 18, 2008 1:44 pm

Hello everyone
Is anyone out there looking for someone to climb with?

I'm looking for a climbing partner in Cape Town. I'm new(ish) to climbing and to Cape Town so any pointers on where to climb & meet other climbers would be most welcome.
I've just joined CityRock so if anyone climbs there & is looking for someone else to climb with, it would be great to hear from you.

Hi Monita

Have you climbed much before?
City Rock do a 2 hr intro course for R110 on Mon & wed eve at 6.00 pm. I was going to do this as a way to get started at City Rock.
If you're interested in doing this or just do some climbing together at the indoor wall, please email me.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom

Thanks for your reply. I've done some climbing but never indoors. i did a climbing course last year thorugh a company called Venture Forth at Higgovale Quarry and have climbed there a few times since. Happy to do some indoor climbing to work on technique etc and outdoors would also be great at some stage. Let me know what you think?

Thanks
Monita

Hi Monita

I sent you a ppm with my tel number, but those messages seem to only stay in the inbox for a couple of days. Someone ppm'd me about climbing together & before I could reply, the message disappeared. (If you are reading this, can you reply again?) Anyone else having this problem?

Hey Monita send me your number & i'll call you.

I think it's got to do with the database restore that was done to get rid of a virus on the site a week or so back - your message was probably not backed up yet and was lost...

Climbing partners!

Postby lindawatson17 » Tue May 06, 2008 10:38 am

Hey... i arrive in cape town 14th may for 6 days and would love to climb.. either silvermine or montague, or even possibly table mountain weather permitting. so if you guys have managed to gather a group and dont mind an extra person, please give me a shout!

otherwise i am in joburg for the next week, and again from 20 - 25may before i bugger off back to the alps (hence the need to practice..), so if anyone is up here and would like to climb, think of me!!!!

Thanks!
Linda
