Montagu toproping

I'm headed to Montagu for a part of this weekend and may end up not having a belayer, but having non-climbers who might want to toprope.

Any routes grade 17 and under where you can place a toprope without leading up to the chains?

Any specific crags where this is generally possible?

Hi Lukas,

There are a couple of places where it might be possible to get to the top of the crag, however you will be putting yourself (and others) at greater risk by do so (loads of loose stuff that may have you taking a tumble + rocks dropping onto people below).
You will be safer teaching one of your 'non-climbing' friends to belay - the key rule being "when in doubt, lock off".
If you instruct them on how to belay correctly, you should be fine.

Being holidays and weekend, there will probably be other climbers at the crag who I am sure would be willing to give you a belay.
