Holy crap! I dropped him off at the airport at 0500 this morning, he must have had about 4 hours sleep! And 8b+ - so cool to have a new hard route, and it sounds like its quality. Bring on Masawati!

He did it in 45 min and most of that time was sent belaying his dad. I'm sure there'll be lost more to report soon. I'm thinking 3pm another project falls.

He speaks very softly so I mostly missed the very little he said. But he was wearing a big smile. As for moves he stood on the ground to demo the crux move and lifted his foot to his chest for a second I thought he was going to kick himself in the chin. The route is short not sustained with a fu****ing hard end.

Please post pics as well! That is awesome, keep the updates coming. Unfortunately some of us have to be at work so can't share in the experience.

Streaky you may be in luck with the pics. I've asked a friend to post some. But she doesn't use the site and will try to get her pics on.
So here's hoping the site is first timer friendly. oh and I'm not sure when she's going to do it.

Yeah...he said he was afraid to actually name the route, because he heard we're all a little sensitive about foreigners naming routes they FA!

Lovely Mark, I geuss someone has to be an ass hole so it may aswell be you. No za. bullet we'll give him the choice to name stuff, but there and then there were more important things to get on with.
Besides what do you care about the name you won't be climbing it any time soon. So go piss on someone else's party both of you.

Geeeeees. Sorry man, I didn't realise you were such a fanboy. If I'd known you would've been soooo sensitive, I wouldn't have mentioned it.

For the rest of you who don't known what I'm referring to in my previous post (jokingly, I might add) and think I'm pissing on someone's parade, then go educate yourself here.....

name game?

Ok. What I ment to say was: We were a little bussy and didn't get to the name thing. He did get the mother and called it 29. Yes that would be grade 29.

I use party cause its festive here and parade sounds to much like army. Educaton has always been a Prob for me so please pardon me for that. I do believe it was the "two to win" - "SF" thing going back a few weeks. Correct me on this one but there a saying about let dead dog rott or something like that.

Garvin, seems like you may have picked up some sand in your vigina while moving between venues. Lucky you don't live up in JHB or your over-reaction levels could be even further off the charts.

garvinj wrote:He did get the mother and called it 29.

How rude, I thought he would have respected the projects name.

Enjoy Rock 'n Road everyone, gonna be a clean sweep from JHB :thumleft:
