Petzl Grillon for Sale

I have a Petzl Grillon for sale
A mate gave it to me and I have no use for it.
If anyone on here will have use for it make me an offer
It’s for Industrial use
Description:
Adjustable lanyard for work positioning Can be used in two ways: - double mode, on the lateral attachment points of the harness, to distribute the weight on the belt (user has weight on his feet): length is adjusted by pressing on the pivoting cam) - single mode, on the harness ventral attachment point, to distribute weight between the waistbelt and the leg loops (user is suspended): length is adjusted by operating the handle while holding the free end of the lanyard

Just an FYI a Grillon is not, technically, the same as a GriGri. It's intended use is in the industrial market as a work-positioning unit and as such does not have a spring-loaded cam. This is aimed at retaining "lock" of the device despite a little unweighting of the set-up.

In a sport climbing environment we tend to want the cam to auto unlock as fast as it autolocks (yes yes, assisted brakes), hence the spring.

Actually the spring is there to make giving rope easier, it holds the cam open, rather than closed.

In the absence of the spring, the cam will close under the slightest pressure, gripping the rope. This makes the grillon ideal for work positioning or similar as it will not "creep" as Grigris are prone to do.
