Hi all,
Hi has anyone ever used a folding helmet? The Edelrid Madillo one? I have never heard of and I think it's the only one made.

It seems a bit of a gimmick - maybe that's why only one manufacturer makes? - but also quite a sensible idea when space is at a premium inside any climbing pack.
I'd be interested in your responses.
TIA as always,
Peter

Seen it, used it, it works well and does pack away well. Yes maybe it was gimmicky but it did the job.
Really, its not that bad...I think it's my shoes...

I bought a Madillo folding helmet locally. Its a very innovative design. Reasonably comfortable, compact to carry, not a bad helmet, I like it, but I have not often used it. I prefer to wear my Petzl Meteor because its lighter & more comfortable.
