Status of bolts at The Pumphouse - Lower Silvermine

Post by Heinrich1981 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 11:52 am

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a pleasant week so far.

As a regular visitor to lower Silvermine, I have never made the effort to climb or at least check out the routes at The Pumphouse (planning on changing this on this coming Sunday). All I know about The Pumphouse, is that one of the routes is known as "Piglet Garden" (17).

Has anyone recently climbed in The Pumphouse area? Very curious as to what the status of the bolts are (mechanical vs glue-in bolts, any suspect looking bolts, etc.). Would love to give it a go.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Kind regards.
Heinrich

pumphouse is due for re-bolt but i have seen guys take some whippers there recently and the bolts held just fine. as always, inspect and take responsibility for your own safety.
