Who wants a hard project?

Postby Guy » Mon Apr 10, 2006 11:54 am

If you either read the article in SA Mountain or have actually been to the Underside - you will have seen the project that I bolted up the buttress on the left fo the main crag (tentatively named \"Bring It On\"). Tragically, it is too hard for me - so it's open to anyone who wants to try it.

For those who haven't seen it, the route is totally awesome. The buttress is made of bullet hard smooth grey sandstone, and it overhangs at 45 degrees. This routes takes the only line of holds up the buttress.

I guess that it is at least grade 33...?

One last thing - there is a large hold between bolts 4 and 5 that might need reinforcement??
There's no point being pessimistic, because it probably won't work

Mark is in the process of bolting the roof crack - he's done the roof, but is still busy with the face below. Should be done in a week or so...

Re the signature, I was going to use a slogan that I saw on a shirt a few years ago, but I thought that it was slightly offensive so I tamed it. What do you think of \"There is no God, just grow up and accept it\".

What grade do you think the crack will be? Nah stick with the original, otherwise it sounds like you use bibles for doorstops.
