Spotting potential Joburg bouldering areas

I've been spotting some tasty looking boulders in the Sandton, particularly this little koppie in Gallo Manor

I underlined your link for you (the slight bold of a non underlined link can sometimes be hard to spot).

You explored? Did you climb anything?

The problem is that the one in Gallo manor seems to be in the back yard of a private house (my dream house?) and the area in lonehill is a conservation area. I am sure somebody with a bit more access experience (Neil, Andrew... etc) can tackle the one in Lonehill, i dont want to spoil our chances.

I must admit it is difficult to see on street view because of all the leaves but I have posted a screen capture of the spot I am talking about, next time I'm in the area during the day ill take a better pic.

So the boulders are just on the other side of that wall, Very well camouflaged

No, that's the boulder, next to the street sign. Sit start and then mantel to standing. Morpho.

By Morpho I mean hard unless you are the size of Morph.

I used to boulder in the Bill Stewart Municipal Nature Reserve in the early 90s, sort of between Edenvale and Primrose. Drive up AG de Witt drive and turn right onto Kloof Road, you can see boulders on your left; park on verge just after turning off. Clear on Google Maps. There's not much, two tiers with half a dozen easyish problems, the only thing that I had to do any work on was a lip traverse going left, no idea of grade, but took me a few goes, might be easier in cold weather, we never had conditions in those days  . Crux involved hooking both heels and reaching off a sloper, quite comitting pre pads and no spotters. I never managed to do the traverse without heelhooks, might be a good campus problem. Stopped going when there used to be piles of human poo always left beneath the boulders. There are arrows pointing to a cave entrance, never bothered trying to look where it went, it looked like it had been partially filled in.

No idea how safe it would be now, approach with caution.

I was told there were some crags and / or boulders on Linksfield Ridge / Bedford Park (Marked Harvey Municipal Nature Reserve on Google Maps), but never had a close look, although there might be something looking from highway in that direction.
