Injury recovery

Postby danglingdingle » Thu Jan 20, 2011 7:37 am

About three weeks ago i fell off my moms roof while fixing a t.v. aerial,
landed on my left elbow and cracked my radial head.

three weeks later the pain is gone, the docter says the fracture wasn't very serious so thats nothing to worrie about.

Problem is i can't straighten my arm. I get to about 75 degrees.

As you may imagine this worries me a bit. Will i ever be able to reach the holds on red guitar on fire?

has this happened to anyone? did it recover fully?

please give me some hope.

I had pretty much the same fracture from a cycling accident a few years back
I battled to straighten it for a few weeks but its fully recovered now
Just give it some time :thumright

Sorry to hear about your fall !
I'm sure your arm will come right with time (3 weeks is still early days). A visit to the Physio to find out what exercises/stretches you should be doing is probably be a good idea!?

You must be doing some sort of rehab hey dingle, if you aren't on some stretching/strenghening program then you must go see a physio/chiropractor. With any injury there comes scar tissue and adhesions from the healing. This scar tissue etc can cause problems for a long time. You could prob just google elbow rehab if you want, but it is vital you don't just leave and wait.
