Figure-8 or nothing

It seems the Figure-8 still triumphs over the single/double bowline, even for seasoned sport climbers.

Magnus

I started climbing indoor and learned a figure of eight, so I only tie into my harness with a figure of eight. If am abseiling and I am going to use a safety rope then I use a bowline, though you can also use a figure of eight for a safety rope, I just do a bowline for a safety rope because I was taught that and like to practice different knots. A figure of eight in my opinion is an easy knot to learn than a bowline.

I believe a figure of 8 and a bowline knot should have stopper knot on them.
