One big evolutionary step, backwards!

Has anyone ever dislocated a thumb whilst climbing? What was the recovery like? It has been three weeks since the injury, and I still don’t think I’ll ever pinch anything again.

I disclocated mine a few times riding my off-road bike, remained sore for at least 4-5 weeks, if however your unable to pinch, best you go see a doctor, dislocations can cause quite few complications with nerves being pinched etc.

Thanks for the info. There is hope! The swelling around the lower joint is going down slowly, but is does seem to be on the mends. I just hope I can climb by the time I get to The New in two weeks. Hold thumbs.
