Hand exercises

Post by Chalk » Wed Aug 03, 2005 12:32 pm

I was wondering, sitting in traffic for 4 hours a day, what practical hand and forearm exercises are there that you can do in the comfort of the driver’s seat while you wait for the light to go green?

I have pinch gripped the steering wheel till bits of the padding have come off and think I can do better on something else – but what?

If you have one of those handles above your door, you can do some one arm pull ups

Try those rad gyro gadgets, palm springs, putty or a jar of Vaz and Mrs Palmer! Good Luck and take it easy on that steering wheel!

Here's an idea... grab a tennis ball and drill a hole in it, or get hold of a nice stiff stress ball (you might want to add some extra balloons to it by the sound of your steering wheel). You can play with this in traffic, at work and even at home. Take it with to the crags and you have a Hakkie Sak! If anyone has some more ideas PLEASE let me know. I also sit alot in the traffic and sort of run out of things to do.
