Hi
I'm coming to visit Capetown 23-26 February and some friends and I would love to climb Table mountain but probably need to go with someone who knows what's going on. Anyone want to come?

It very much depends on which route you choose. The most popular and easiest route to find is Platteklip Gorge, for which you don't really need to go up with a local. The start of the hike is about 1 1/2 kilometers on the road past the cableway station and is very clearly signposted. Take lots of water as this is a very hot time of year here. However, if the wind is blowing it could also be cold on top, so be prepared.

Thanks Alex, We may end up going without a local but have been warned by many people that it's better not to so we are looking for someone.
