Break-in at Higgovale

Postby Shaun » Mon Aug 08, 2005 9:06 am

Hey all, just warning you all. had a break in last weekend at Higgovale Quarry. Nothing Stolen, I assume they were looking for my radio face which I had on me. Other than that they just broke a window and ripped off my door handle. If I can make a suggestion, try keep your cars parked on the left handside as you approach the crag. It seems to be safer as it is more open.

Yeah Higgovale is dodge at the mo. Residents suspect vagrants living in the bush. A guide friend of mine was hit recently, visiting tourist climbers lost cameras phones, passports - everything! Gear stolen too. They were parked in the culdesac on the left so nowhere is safe!

A few weeks ago one of the residents chased away some undesireables who were trying to break into our car. Later they came back and stole a brand new set of speakers and the radio cover, damaging the dashboard and stealing the boot cover.
