Bronkies Eagles update

Post by andrew p » Mon Jun 11, 2018 9:22 am

Sadly, it seems that the eagles that began to nest at Bronkies this year on the main sector of the crag, between Wild Apricot and Joint Venture, have not done so. This is not due to climbers, who observed the restriction.

Climbers may resume climbing at this sector. The ban on climbing within the normal 'eagle sector' is still in place

Thank you for observing the restrictions, hopefully the eagles will nest next year.

The Eagles ARE nesting at Bronkies between Joint Venture and Wild Apricot, and most probably have a chick in the nest. Please heed the No Climbing closed area restrictions between the demarcated signs. Really special climbing there on Saturday, as they flew overhead, to check us out. Updates to follow on the chicks progress....

Perhaps the route guide could be amended to show these climbs are off limits for this period?

Thanks all
Tam
