Took a new climber to winston park yesterday .

We climbed slim jannie and there's been a big rock fall.
A huge amount of rock has gone leaving many other blocks loose.

Take care

Edit . It's acually the 12 irene . The first route as you get the wall.

Not slim jannie

I climbed that route about 4 weeks ago. Can't say I recall any loose rock.
Thanks for the info. .

Hi
Climbed at Jan's Smuts crag yesterday, took a mate and his son there and there is a sizable chunk of rock about 3 bolts up on Slim Jannie that is potentially going to come loose some time soon and also just below the last bolt to the left.
The chains at the top of the route are looking horrendously rusted.
Just thought I'd keep everyone informed.
Really enjoy climbing at this crag, it's fun and easy to access.
