Postby onehand » Tue Aug 12, 2014 8:51 pm

FULL MOON any of u dudes go climbing by the moon bcoz u want to have a cuppa on a ledge and check out the lights. Watched the fireworks from " White face " on Lions Head by headlights last time verrry cool. Fraziers, India Rubber, Arrow Final all get good light.

Not sure your belayer will appreciate being mooned :drunken:

I have never climbed by moon light, but I have hiked by it - really worth doing.

Its Rad! if you ever get a chance do a multipitch in Free State by moonlight, but if you are in Cape Town I wouldn't recommend Lions Head simply because of all the plebs up there who then walk out in the longest queue you have ever seen on a mountain/hill. TM by contrast....

yo Warren,
full moon lasts for a few nights n plebs only for sunset / moon-rise. so take makings for a brew n some chow to enjoy in the cubbyhole half way up, and maybe a "brew" or two when u hit the top. you may only want to leave after midnight, then u be strolling down all on your own, bit of planning and forethought will enhance the experience.
